Refund Policy
At Comox Marine, we stand behind the products we sell and strive to ensure customer satisfaction. Please review our return policy before making your purchase.
Return Conditions
To be eligible for a return, items must be:
- Unused
- In their original packaging
- In resalable condition
Returns that are received without original packaging or in damaged condition may be subject to management approval and a restocking fee.
Proof of purchase is required for all returns.
All returned merchandise is inspected before a refund is issued. Comox Marine reserves the right to refuse any return that does not meet the conditions outlined in this policy.
Standard Returns
For regularly stocked products:
- Within 30 days of delivery: Eligible for a full refund to the original payment method.
- 31–90 days from delivery: Eligible for store credit.
- After 90 days: Non-refundable.
Special Order Items
Products specially ordered for a customer:
- Eligible for return within 20 days of delivery.
- Subject to a 20% restocking fee.
- After 20 days, special order items are non-refundable.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are final sale and cannot be returned:
- Electrical and electronic products
- Batteries
- Software and digital products
- Registered products (including motors or other products requiring manufacturer registration)
- Items with expiration dates
- Products that have been installed, used, modified, or damaged after delivery
- Clearance and final sale items
Online Orders & Return Shipping
Comox Marine is an online-only retailer. We do not accept in-person returns.
Customers must contact us before returning any merchandise to obtain return instructions.
Unless the return is the result of an error by Comox Marine (such as receiving an incorrect, damaged, or defective item), customers are responsible for:
- Return shipping costs
- Ensuring the item is properly packaged
- Using a tracked shipping service, as Comox Marine is not responsible for lost return shipments
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible so we can make it right.
Warranty Returns
If a product fails within the manufacturer's warranty period:
- Proof of purchase is required.
- The product may need to be returned for inspection or sent to the manufacturer's authorized warranty centre.
- Once the warranty claim has been approved, we will repair, replace, or refund the product in accordance with the manufacturer's warranty policy.
Please note that warranty processing times vary by manufacturer.
Refund Verification
For refunds over $200 CAD, Comox Marine may request photo identification before processing the refund to help protect against fraudulent transactions.
